Off the water, MAD knows how to have a good time. But what people don’t know is that besides partying, we also help do good for the community (global in this case). So we thought…why not put the two together? A huge crowd of well over 50 members and friends (over 21 of course) gathered at one of our spots, Fishmarket NYC, to just hang out, have a few drinks, and take donations for the relief effort over in Haiti. Over a span of a few hours we were able to raise over 400 dollars on pure donations alone from charitable guests, many who have already donated at previous events.

We are the Metro Athletic Dragons. Our club is based in New York City and we have been around since 1997, competing in dragon boating regattas nationally and internationally. M.A.D. is all about enjoying ourselves through the thrill of racing dragon boats and hanging out with a diverse community of paddlers and friends.
